Each month we hold a support group for families who have been touched by adoption or foster care. We meet at Bayside (map) on the third Monday of each month from 6:30-8:00pm in the Library. Childcare is provided. The purpose of our group is to provide a support system for those who were adopted, have adopted, are in the process of adopting, are interested in adopting a child, or have been touched by adoption in any way as well as families who are providing foster care.
Our goal is to provide tangible support and practical resources for families connected to adoption. The adoption process and life after a completed adoption can be difficult. There are different things your family will go through that other families won’t. Our hope is that this support system will provide a place for you to go and know there are others who know what you’re going through and will support you!
Both Douglas & St. Louis Counties allow this as approved hours for ongoing education needed by foster families.
